Press Gazette has a
summary of research conducted by the
Constitution Unit at UCL regarding the use of the FoI Act by journalists. It seems that there is a mixed bag of perspectives depending on the use to which information sought is to be put. Perhaps unsurprisingly, those facing deadlines were frustrated by delay in the application and appeals processes. Investigative journalists with more time on their hands were happier to suffer such obstacles. See
